Welcome to CompTIA Project+ (PK0-004). This course covers the necessary competencies professionals need to manage smaller, less complex projects as part of their other job duties. This CompTIA Project+ (PK0-004) course also covers a project’s lifecycle and will introduce the student to the knowledge and skills necessary to collaborate and complete in project environments. This course maps to the CompTIA Project+ certification exam, which certifies the knowledge and skills required to manage the project life cycle, ensure appropriate, communication, manage resources, manage stakeholders, and maintain project documentation.

This CompTIA Project+ training discusses the importance of effective Project Management in the enterprise. Project Management is a field that is rapidly expanding beyond IT considerations. There are many schools of thoughts, philosophies, and methodologies on Project Management, and there are many things Project Managers can do to be more efficient and effective.

    How is it Best to Prepare for the Project+ Certification Exam?

    The CompTIA Project+ certification exam (PK0-004) requires that candidates have a good grasp on all subject areas. The topics that are tested are: * Managing the project lifecycle * Ensuring appropriate communication * Managing resources and stakeholders * Maintaining project documentation

    The exam has a maximum of 95 questions that are multiple-choice (single and multiple response) and drag and drop. Candidates taking the exam have an hour and a half to complete it. A passing score of 710, on a scale of 100-900, must be achieved to earn the certification.

    Passing the CompTIA Project+ certification exam requires that test takers are able to show they have the abilities to manage all aspects of the lifecycle of a project, including effective communication with project team members as well as manager and executives and documenting all the necessary project details.

    My name is Humberto Hilario, I have 30+ years of experience in Information Technology and Security, starting off as a data entry technician and progressively growing through different roles in network support, server management, infrastructure engineering and security administration.

    Together with experience, I have a M.S. in IT Management and also hold several security certifications from vendors like Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, EC-Council and (ISC)2.

As Security Manager, I oversee the compliance and implementation of the security program, providing strategic leadership and oversight to ensure security is an integral part of IT and all related business processes. As Director of Education, I lead the technology program and develop strategies that align its objectives with the educational goal sas well as deliver classes on the advanced track.

    I consider myself a cinephile and enjoy sharing plot parts during my classes as part of the context of the topic covered. My favorite movies usually have a cerebral plot or represent a futuristic view of society.
